If you're looking for a way to introduce the topic of reaching across the aisle, check out Dr. Seuss' The Sneetches.
It begins:
Now, the Star-Belly Sneetches
Had bellies with stars.
The Plain-Belly Sneetches
Had none upon thars.
Those stars weren't so big. They were really so small
You might think such a thing wouldn't matter at all.

Any other books you'd recommend?
I bought this book, and several other LDS books for my kids to read so that they could learn to love their neighbor. Jesus said, "Love they neighbor as thyself." And while Seuss, wasn't a Mormon, he was still a good Christian with good morals.
